JAQUET T400 series - 4th generation tachometer range
09.01.05 - 17:27
Aimed at applications as diverse as turbocharger speed to escalator safety monitoring, JAQUET Technology Group of Basel, Switzerland has launched the new T400 range of single channel speed measurement, display and protection instruments.
T401/T402 are DIN rail mounted units that offer speed = 0/4
20mA or 0/2..10V plus a single change-over limit relay as standard. Compatible with 2 or 3 wire sensors and incorporating a 14V sensor supply with sensor health monitoring, T400s feature isolation between input / output and supply with automatic signal trigger level adjustment starting at a sensitivity of 20mV peak. The input signal trigger point is adjusted from one input pulse to the next to provide maximum noise immunity when the signal level is varying e.g. when originating from electromagnetic speed sensors.
Operating over a wide supply range of 10-36Vdc, T400s can be PC configured for a minimum frequency range of 0
1Hz right up to 0
35kHz. An open collector output re-transmits the input frequency thus allowing units to be daisy chained to provide an economic solution for multiple set points.
T400 software allows unit configuration and on-line status monitoring. The Windows software also allows 2 limit values to be defined, which are then assigned to the relay via a binary input, thus allowing machine start-up bridging or control. Switching between relay control may be immediate or after a programmable time.
T411 / T412s offer all of the features of the DIN rail mounted units but in a panel mounted configuration with a 5 digit LCD display capable of being read at a distance.
T420 is a safety relay configuration of the rail mounted units for use with JAQUETs IQ Sensor.
The IQ Sensor monitors speed or other process parameters and delivers a limit signal. T420 converts this into a relay contact and makes use of IQs test frequency output to form a SIL 2
Safety chain.
All T400s offer set point accuracy of 0.05% of the limit value and have a measurement update time starting at 2ms making them suitable for some closed loop speed governor applications.
