Engine monitoring & diagnostics

Our MDS 4000 monitoring and diagnostic product range provides a window into the performance and behaviour of diesel engines. Based on established theories of engine behaviour, MDS 4000 measures the finite variations in rotational speed and from that calculates engine torque, power output and most importantly individual cylinder work in real time. OEM configurations can then be used for gearbox control, performance display and for on board diagnostics. The payback is in reduced fuel consumption & minimized maintenance costs, whilst maximizing vehicle in service time.

Electronic control of hydraulics

Secondary power sources are often created in industrial truck and off-highway vehicles using hydraulic motors and pumps. Measuring hydraulic motor speed provides a cost effective means of achieving electronic control. The new JAQUET HALL-ASIC is configurable as a 2 or 3 wire sensor providing both speed and direction information. A patented circuit ensures near zero current consumption in the event of an output short circuit and broken wire detection is available for safety critical applications. Quick fit housings that can withstand high oil pressure are provided to suit the OEM requirement.
